MUSTANGS WIN 11-6 OVER EASTLAKE

In their first game in over two years of donning the Green and Gold, the Mustang seniors led the way in a decisive varsity victory over the crosstown Eastlake Wolves, 11-6. Specifically, Ryan Rembisz, the LHP Portland Pilot commit, struck out 10 in under 5 innings of work while Colin Curry, a Seattle U commit, notched three hits on the night.

The Mustangs came out swinging early scoring three runs in the top of the first inning as both Rembisz and Curry drove in their junior counterparts, Austin Paul and Kai Drotz. In the second inning, Redmond put three more on the board with senior Yuma Masaki, Paul, and Curry contributing hits to the rally. The third inning saw the Mustangs add two more runs and the 11th run came in the 7th inning off of an Eastlake miscue.

In the 5th inning, Eastlake attempted to mount a comeback stringing a couple of hits together off of Rembisz. However, Tyler Ferry entered the game to quiet the Wolve rally. The senior righthander would go on to finish the game, tossing 2 1/3 innings while only allowing one run.

Redmond will now host Eastlake at 7 pm at Hartman Park on Friday night, May 14th.
