The Mustangs traveled to Issaquah to face the Eagles Friday afternoon.
Issaquah got on the board early when they tagged starter Braedon Davis for two runs in the bottom of the second.
Redmond struck back in the fourth when Jon Holmen and Cole Uyematsu led off the inning with a pair of walks. Ethan Tung followed with a ground ball single to right field that brought Holmen around to score and close the gap to 2-1.
Issaquah picked up two more runs in the bottom half of the fourth off of reliever Michael Kimborowicz and stretched the lead to 4-1.
Kai Drotz and Liam Curran both walked to lead off the 5th and a single up the middle by Andrew McBain plated Drotz to make the score 4-2.
The Stangs threatened once again in the 6th when Ethan Tung singled, then both Holden Furutani and Austin Paul were hit by a pitch to load the bases. Kai Drotz hit into a fielders choice to score Tung and draw the Mustangs to 4-3.
That’s all the scoring the Stangs could muster on 7 hits. The big hit eluded them all day as Redmond stranded 10 runners on base and dropped the game to Issaquah 4-3.
