Our Varsity Mustangs stayed in it until the end, but North Creek Varsity Jaguars pulled away late in the game in a 6-3 loss on Friday.
Highlight for the Mustangs was in the 1st inning when #1 Ethan Tung hit a nuke to left field hitting the scoreboard and driving in #17 Cavin Bowmer for 2 RBIs. #23 Josh Roof scored the Mustang’s third run in the 3rd inning with a sacrifice fly to left field driving in Bowmer.
#12 Hiroshi Johnson started on the mound for the Mustangs. The righty lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out four. Roof came in relief pitching two and one-third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out one.
Bowmer, #6 Chase Lawson, and Tung each collected one hit to lead the Mustangs.
